Dear Visitor to the Sacred Heart Church web site,

Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque 1647 – 1690 was the recipient of visions from Jesus in 1672 and 1673 in which she was given the mission of promoting devotion to the Sacred Heart. The flames around his heart represent his love for people and the crown of thorns point to the sin and lack of gratitude of the world. It is good that we would review again the 12 promises made to Saint Margaret Mary. They are still valid for our time.
